Thanks to the generosity of a friend, Connor and I had some great seats at the Cardinals and Cubs game Tuesday. Within the first 20 minutes of being in the park Connor had his picture taken with Colby Rasmus and Ryan Theriot, got their autographs, and got a ball from Chris Carpenter. Plus, we got to see the Birds get a win over the Cubs and the weather was absolutely perfect throughout the entire game. However, the best part of the evening was the opportunity to make a memory with Connor. As game time approached yesterday I was a little tired and really wanted to just stay home and flip between this game and the Bulls game on the TV while relaxing in the recliner. Thanks to Teresa’s encouragement I decided to go ahead and head to the game. I am certainly glad I did. A little extra effort resulted in a memorable evening for both of us.
